Allan Roy Dreibrodt, age 63 of Seguin, passed away on September 27, 2017.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Cross Church with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Geronimo and a reception will follow in Friedens Church Fellowship Hall. Allan was born on October 16, 1953 in Seguin, Texas to Roy Henry and Juanita (Engler) Dreibrodt. He was a proud 1972 graduate of Navarro High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1975 from Southwest Texas State University and a Master of Education in 1979 from Southwest Texas State University. He taught Vocational Agriculture at Seguin High School for 6 years. Allan will also be remembered as a 35 year banker at Wells Fargo Bank. Allan spent tireless hours serving his community in Seguin and throughout Guadalupe County. He was an active member of Cross Church, and served as past president of the Rotary Club of Seguin, Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce, Guadalupe County Fair Association, lifetime honorary member of Buck Fever and a member of the Irma Lewis Seguin Outdoor Learning Center Board. He helped with many fundraisers throughout the community including the Wade Busby Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser and the Erwin Lee memorial Fundraiser for the Navarro Independent School District football field. Allan is preceded in death by his father Roy Dreibrodt. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Janyce Dreibrodt; daughter, Dalena Marie Krueger and husband Troy; son, Brannon Roy Dreibrodt and wife Julia; grandchildren, Cambry Dawn Koenen and fiancé Cory Terry, Caide Allen Krueger, and Harper Janice Dreibrodt; mother, Juanita Dreibrodt; sisters, Faye Reinhard and husband Allen, Connie Owen and husband Bill, Dawn Burnett and husband Kurt; mother-in-law, Alyce Kanz; sisters-in-law, Donna Kiser and Susan Kanz; brother-in-law, David Kanz; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many, many friends. Allan never thought of the fact that he was dying from ALS, but that he was LIVING with it and he did so for a remarkable 30 years! He set a standard for how we should all live, through Love of God, Love of Family and Friends and unselfish service to others above himself! He was truly loved and admired by an entire community of family and dear friends who will miss him. Serving as pallbearers, who will each wear and keep one of Allan’s ties, will be Cody Klaehn, Darin Klaehn, Michael Reinhard, David Reiley, Mark Cerda, Mark Foster, Travis Engler, Brody Burnett, Christopher Klaehn and Dr. Brian Kanz.
