Daniel Gerard ''Danny'' Plate, age 59 of New Caney, formerly of St. Hedwig passed away on October 27, 2017. 

Visitation will begin at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 5 p.m. followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m.   The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Annunciation of the BVM Catholic Church in St. Hedwig with Rev. Brian Plate officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Danny was born on November 28, 1957 to Charles Joseph Plate and Anna Maria "Nancy" Connolly in San Antonio where he graduated from East Central High School. Danny was a loving and caring father, husband, and grandfather. He worked in the elevator industry for 40 years, was a Volunteer Firefighter, and Emergency Medical Technician in Kingwood, Texas. He also owned a septic business, as well as served on the Northcrest Ranch POA Homeowners Board for 7 years. When Danny wasn't working, he loved to dance, barbeque, watch football, attend his children's athletic events, coached youth and select football teams, and was a lifetime and devout member of the Catholic Faith. Danny was a master at fixing pretty much everything and enjoyed having a good time with family and friends. Danny is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kevin, and father-in-law, Walter Luensmann. Danny is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Carol Luensmann Plate; daughters, Shawna Lazorko and husband, Jake, and Danielle Plate; son, Lucas Plate; 3 grandchildren, Jadeyn, Lillian, and
Jameson Lazorko; brothers, Michael Plate and wife, Robin, Charles Plate, Stephen Plate and wife, Melissa, Patrick Plate and wife, Kathy, Sean Plate and wife, Kathy, and Rev. Brian Plate; sister, Theresa Plate; mother-in-law, Dorothy Luensmann; brothers-in-law, Mark Luensmann and wife, Terri, Brian Luensmann and wife, Kandi; sister-in-law, Sandra Ferguson and husband, Rusty; as well as numerous other loving family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Plate, Clayton Aldrich, Charles Plate, Douglas Plate, Braden Luensmann, and Hans Keany.
