Joe Columbus ''J. C.'' Jeffers, age 89 of Seguin, passed away on November 9, 2017. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Dr. Brice Mandaville officiating. Interment will follow at Dugger Cemetery.  J. C. was born on June 29, 1928 in Sabinal, Texas to Hubert and Viola (Edwards) Jeffers. J.C. proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He was a longtime employee of the City of Seguin, as well as a member of First Baptist Church. When he wasn't working, J.C. could always be found hunting, or at a lake or river, fishing. J.C. loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs, but his most favorite thing was spending time with his pride and joy, his grandson and  reat-grandson, Chad and Grayson.    He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mark Jeffers, Jimmy Jeffers, and Louise Gurnett; his brothers-in-law, Teddy Bulgerin and Bobby Joe Bulgerin. J.C. is survived by his loving wife of  65  years, Dorothy Jean Bulgerin Jeffers; son B. J. Jeffers and wife Denise; grandson, Chad Jeffers and wife, Kylee; great-grandson, Grayson Jeffers; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Bulgerin and wife, Helen, Roy Bulgerin and wife, Peggy; sister-in-law, Geri Bulgerin. Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Hawkins, Larry McKee, Mike Absher, Mike Wiggins, Stan Jackel, Kevin Krueger, Tony Herrera, and Tim Dudley. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Miller, Larry Friedeck, Grayson Jeffers, and Chad Jeffers. Memorial contributions may be made to Dugger Cemetery Association, c/o Sharon Herbold, 3106 Elm Creek Rd., Seguin, TX 78155 or First Baptist Church, 1314 E.
