Lola Scheffel, age 91 of Seguin, passed away on November 24, 2017.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Emanuel's Lutheran Church with Rev. Marcus Bigott and Rev. John Schwartz officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Graveside services and interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery. Lola was born on February 4, 1926 in Cheapside Texas to Frank and Louisa (Winkler) Ulman. Lola was a graduate of Cuero High School and worked at TexTan in Yoakum until she married Bill. She retired from the Farm Bureau in Seguin where she served as office secretary. She was an active member of Emanuel's Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Aid, also enjoying both Monday Morning quilting and canning for the Bazaars and family and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Wilburn H. "Bill" Scheffel, her parents and numerous brothers and sisters as she was the youngest of twelve siblings. Survivors include her children, Rick Scheffel and wife Vicki of Marietta Georgia, and Beverly Sczech and husband Willie of Manor Texas; grandchildren, Tyler Scheffel and Abbie Scheffel both of Marietta, Georgia, and Kim Jackson and husband Jonathan of Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren, Henry Snyder, Rivers Jackson, Dean Jackson and Lola Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.
