Jerry Edward Williams, age72 of Seguin, passed away on December 24, 2017.
Private services and interment will follow at a later date. Jerry was born in March 7, 1945 to Clayton Edward and Roberta Leon (Henderson) Williams. Jerry was born and grew up in South Houston. It was here that he met his future wife, Beverly Ann Walker. The couple dated on and off, eventually marrying in September of 1967. The couple then moved to Brenham, where Jerry and Beverly owner and operated a Golden Fried Chicken restaurant, Beverly’s family business. The family later moved to Seguin in 1976 when Jerry went to work at the Golden Fried Chicken corporate office in Luling. After he left the chicken business, Jerry went to work as a draftsman, first for Alamo Group, and later for EPMP, where he retired in 2015. The water was a second home to Jerry, and he could almost always be found there fishing. He was a member of the Guadalupe River Anglers, whom he considered his fishing family. Jerry and Beverly loved to take the children on road trips across the U.S. and Canada. One memorable trip involved Oregon, where they made life-long friends. Jerry and his family would visit them and of course, go fishing. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend who will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Michelle Williams, and his parents. Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly; son, Scott Williams; daughter, Nichole Schaefer, and husband, Craig; granddaughter, Stephanie Abigail Schaefer; sister, Barbara Williams; and brother, Daryl Williams; as well as his fishing family, the Anglers.
