" I like to draw, and help my grandfather build a ‘27 roadster when I can."

"I was born in Seguin, Texas."

"Father, Gabriel Guttierez; Mother, Anna Guttierez; Brother, Craig Guttierez"
What is the biggest challenge you’ve ever faced?
"Changing my mindset from being a senior in high school to a freshman in college"
What is your favorite TV show and movie?
"TV: Street Outlaws Movie: Suicide Squad"
What type of music do you enjoy (favorite band, song, etc…)?
"I listen to all types of music but mainly hip-hop, my favorite song has to be ‘Family & Friends’ by Russ."
What is your favorite Seguin business and restaurant?
"Alamo Group where my mother works, and Chili’s because of their amazing baby back ribs"
What is something folks may not really know about you?
"Any time I feel overwhelmed or pressured, I go for a run -- an evening run around Seguin."
If you could assemble a dinner party with any five guests (living or dead) -excluding immediate living family members - who would they be?
"Walt Disney, Jackie Robinson, Gabriel Iglesias, Paul Walker, and my Uncle Jim who passed a couple years back"
What are your roles in the community?
"I am an usher at Our Lady of Guadalupe, and a volunteer at Hacienda Oaks and Eden Cross"
Discuss your professional background/achievements/leadership roles.
"I was a leader of the Teen ACTS Retreat that helps to bring the youth together for a weekend to reconnect or enhance their connection with God."
What are this proudest moments in your personal life or in your career?
"One of the proudest moments of my life will have to be when I got accepted into my very first college. In that moment, I realized that all the hard work from school work, to ACT/SAT studies and everything in between had finally paid off, and working out for the better."
What do you believe are the strengths of this community?
"The amount of support that the community can give towards each other and the help that we are able to lend when we need it most. As a varsity football player, it was amazing to see the whole community come out to support the football team on Friday nights, and it showed how much the community really supports and is there for each other."
What do you find as the most interesting thing about Seguin?
"The most interesting thing has to be the huge diversity that is found in one small town, where everyone can really mix with each other and still be as strong as one. You can see it especially at the events that happen downtown, such as the Sip n’ Stroll or Trade Days. Everyone comes out for a good time and it’s a really cool thing to see."
What are your future plans?
"I will graduate from Seguin High School. Then, I will attend the University of Incarnate Word to major in animation in the fall."
