If you could assemble a dinner party with any five guests (living
or dead) -excluding immediate living family members - who would
"1. Martha Stewart -so she could plan the party, and she is crafty
and I admire her talent. 2. Jackie Kennedy Onassis – even when I
was a little girl I was drawn to her. The courage she had to try
to save her husband when someone was shooting at them was truly
heroic. 3. Joanna Gaines – her style is impeccable and I would love
her input on my house 4. Chip Gaines – I would love to see their
relationship dynamic in person. I also really love their
dedication to their family time. 5. Jesus - This is the guest you
hope stays long after everyone else has gone to have a long talk
What are your roles in the community?
"This is my second year to serve as the coordinator for Seguin
MOPS, Mothers Of Pre Schoolers. I was so lucky to find this group
when I moved here so I could connect with other moms in Seguin.
Before I moved here I was living and working in my hometown of New
Braunfels. Moving away from my long time friends and coworkers
meant I had to make new friends. I had two little babies and it was
hard to get out of the house and focus on talking to other people.
MOPS gives moms of children, ages birth – kinder, a chance to do
just that. I could go visit with other moms and have a nice dinner
with child care. I am also active at my church, First United
Methodist Church, where I volunteer at the pumpkin patch, Vacation
Bible School, as well as serve on the evangelism committee. This is
also my second year to volunteer in my neighborhood to help
organize and put on National Night Out."

credentials. I taught second and third grade until I decide to
stay home with my children."

What do you find as the most interesting thing about Seguin?
"How nice everyone is. When we first moved here, my husband and I
talked about how friendly everyone was. Standing next to someone

haven’t had a negative interaction with someone."
