Christmas Angel contest deadline arrives

(Seguin) -- The Christmas Angel today is hoping to pull in those last minute letters. Today is the deadline for the KWED Christmas Angel contest. All month long, the Christmas Angel has been encouraging kids 18 and under to submit a letter explaining why their family or member of their family is deserving of $500 cash this holiday season.

(Seguin) -- Move over Santa! There's a new sheriff in town. His name....Sheriff Claus. Sheriff Claus, a.k.a Guadalupe County Sheriff Arnold Zwicke, for the last several years has ensured that residents in Guadalupe County nursing homes receive a special gift during Christmastime.

(Seguin) -- A lifelong resident of Guadalupe County has officially entered the race for Guadalupe County Commissioner Precinct 2. Randall Herzog has secured a spot on the ballot for the March Republican Primary. The seat is currently served by Commissioner Jack Shanafelt.

Community invited to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas during annual Las Posadas event in downtown Seguin

(Seguin) -- You're invited to follow the Star and the footsteps of those included in the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. The Christmas Season will be celebrated this Sunday night with the annual Las Posadas tradition in downtown Seguin. The word Las Posadas means "the shelter."
