(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County seniors will not be going hungry after all and that's all thanks to an outside partnering neighbor, which has literally stepped up to the plate to ensure that the local Meals on Wheels program continues to serve area residents. Assuming the new role will be the Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation.

In wake of rash of shootings across the country, Seguin ISD talks campus safety

(Seguin) -- The Seguin ISD is making sure students, parents and the community know exactly the investments that the district has been making in being proactive should the district ever face a tragedy like many of those being reported across the country.

Mass school shootings, like the one that happened earlier this month in Parkland, Florida has prompted the school district to share the plans that have been put into place locally for the safety of all students, teachers and employees.

Campaign race picks up steam for position of Guadalupe County Court-at-Law Judge

(Seguin) -- Only two more days remain for voters to cast their ballots early for this year's March 6 Republican and Democratic Primary Elections.

Radio station KWED and the Seguin Daily News today continues its count down to Tuesday's election by featuring the candidates of each locally contested race and allowing them to speak directly to voters. Today's featured race is the position of Guadalupe County Court-at-Law Judge. The judge in this position handles a variety of court cases such as but not limited to family law (guardianships), juvenile, contested probate matters, small claims, the Veterans Treatment Court and civil cases up to $200,000.

Guadalupe County treasurer, district clerk candidates work to reel in votes during GOP primary

Beginning today, the Seguin Daily News will help count down the days until the March 6 Republican and Democratic Primary Elections by featuring the candidates of each locally contested race and allowing them to offer their final pitch to voters.
