(Seguin) -- The Seguin Police Department is continuing to do its part to help you increase your chances of survival should you ever find yourself in the middle of an active shooter event. The Seguin PD is again hosting a series of Civilian Response to Active Shooter trainings. The department has been offering this service for some time now, but a recent potential threat here in Seguin has again driven home the need for these training classes.

Hand grenade found outside home for sale

(Seguin) -- A hand grenade found outside a local home was quickly eliminated as a potential threat thanks to the fast action by the Seguin Police Department and San Antonio Bomb Squad. Just minutes after arriving at the home, experts reported that the grenade was only a dud or novelty item.

Woman pleads for return of husband's ashes

(Seguin) -- The search continues for the ashes of a local woman's late husband.

Tanya Brown, public information officer for the Seguin Police Department, says a break-in reported at a local home last month has turned into one woman's worst nightmare -- a nightmare that now has her pleading for the return of her husband's box of ashes.
