Darren Dunn - General Manager

Dunn has had a lifelong love of radio. He started at a campus radio station (KPVU-Prairie View A&M University) in 1987. Dunn been a reporter, jock, music director, news director, operations manager and now general manager. His first commercial radio experience came as an intern at KIKK AM/FM in Houston. He would eventually land at KWED and says accepting a job in Seguin was the best decision he has ever made. Dunn is married to wife, LeeAnn. The couple has two beautiful small children.

Cindy Aguirre-Herrera - News Director

Aguirre-Herrera has been employed with KWED/Seguin Daily News for several years and says the media outlet is a great place to work. She entered the workforce immediately after graduating from Texas Lutheran University. Aguirre-Herrera worked part-time at KWED during her junior and senior years of college. She was fortunate to have started a job in the news department the Monday following her college graduation. A native of Seguin, is married to her high school sweetheart, Jesse Herrera, Jr. Aguirre-Herrera says she truly loves her job, family and community.

Kimberly Nieto - On-Air Personality

Nieto has been employeed at KWED/Seguin Daily News on a part-time basis since 2008 and she has been a full-time employee since 2011. As the station's on-air personality, she is responsible for day time LIVE talk, ticket giveaways, social network updates, writing and recording community calendar, weather and commercials, hosting the Trading Post and producing sporting events and on-air programs.

Greg Hiti - Advertising Consultant

Hiti joined the KWED/Seguin Daily News team in 1998 with a long history in broadcasting. Hiti worked in radio and advertising before entering the Air Force in 1976. He spent four years as a military broadcaster and journalist and spent 16 years in Recruiting Service. His last five years in the Air Force were spent at Randolph Air Force Base helping 35 AF Recruiting Squadrons around the country with their local advertising programs. Hit retired from the Air Force in 1997 and graduated from Texas Lutheran University (as the first 'TLU' graduating class). From Cleveland, Ohio, Hiti is married to fellow Cleveland native Maryellen. Hiti has one son, Jason, one daughter-in-law, Jean, and one grandson, James. They all live in Chicago.

Roger Cutcher - Advertising Consultant

Cutcher has been is Sales for over 45 years. He spent 29 years in the food business, 14 years in the automobile business and has been with KWED/Seguin Daily News since 2008. Cutcher Graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA in marketing. He have been married to wife Renee for over 35 years and the couple has three children and five grandchildren.

Nellica Mitchell - Advertising Consultant

Mitchell is a transplant from Washington State, who's pleased to now make her home in Seguin.  She's hit the ground running.  She's making sure that clients needs are being met.  She also is active in the community.  She's a member of the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, and is volunteering for this year's Relay for Life event in Gudalupe County.  She has also volunteered a number of hours at The Cranny Thirft Store, operated by the Guadalupe Valley Family Violence Shelter.  When she's off the clock, she likes to "Volunteer, read, shop, visit (and) decorate." She has two daughters, Breanna and Bridgette; and her parents are Dan and Nelly Mitchell.

Priscilda Rios-Rodriguez - Business Office/Traffic

Rios-Rodriguez has been with KWED/Seguin Daily News since September of 1989. As the office and classified manager, she is the company's longest serving employee.

Andie Rangel-Jenner - Print Production/Photographer

Rangel-Jenner started at KWED/Seguin Daily News as an intern for football photography. After graduating from Seguin High School in 2005, she was hired as a part-time radio programmer and on-air host. Rangel-Jenner hosted the trading post, handled community calendar and weather updates and produced Sunday morning church services. She worked in that capicity for one year and then, on her 19th birthday, was offered a position in print production. Rangel-Jenner has headed print production since 2006 and has been with the company since 2003.

Mike McBride - Sports Director

McBride has been a Sports Reporter for KWED/Seguin Daily News since the fall of 2005. During that span, he has handled radio play-by-play duties for Seguin, Navarro, and Marion high school athletics, as well as Seguin Little League play-by-play and color analyst duties for Texas Lutheran football. In addition to his play-by-play and reporting duties, McBride can be heard weekday evenings anchoring the KWED sportscast during the 5 p.m. news hour. McBride's broadcasting career began in 2001, when he served as a sports anchor, reporter, and high-school play-by-play announcer for KNTU radio at the Univeristy of North Texas in Denton. From '02 - '03, He held the position of Sports Director at KLBC and KSEO in Durant, Oklahoma, where he handled football, basketball, baseball, and softball play-by-play duties for NCAA Division II Southeastern Oklahoma State University and Durant High School, as well as anchoring weekday morning sportscasts, co-hosting a weekend sports talk show, hosting the "Swap Shop", and performing commercial production. McBride worked as a contract sports broadcaster in New Orleans, Louisiana, from '03 to '05, serving as the play-by-play voice for the University of New Orleans women's basketball and baseball teams on WGSO radio, as well as doing high school football play-by-play for 2004 Class-4A state champion John Curtis Christian School. He began the 2005 football season as co-host of "The Sports Doctors", a New Orleans' Saints post-game show on WGSO, before Hurricane Katrina put an end to his stint in the Big Easy. A month later, McBride was hired into his current position with KWED/Seguin Daily News, and has lived in the area with his wife, Kristina, and beagle, Norman, ever since.
